As a company committed to waste recycling as part of the packaging supply chain it was very encouraging to see the latest statistics out today from industry body EUROPEN. The latest Packaging and Packaging Waste Statistics report from EUROPEN shows that 64 per cent of packaging was recycled by the EU-27 in 2011.
There are few things in life better than walking past your favourite chippy and getting a whiff of the fantastic smells that come wafting out. The only thing that might top that, of course, is the sensation of the first slighty-too-hot chip passing your lips as you hungrily grab the next one to thrust down your throat.
We are delighted at the news that Featherstone Rovers were given an unexpected boost last week when Commercial Manager Paul Taylor appeared live on the world's biggest sports radio station talkSPORT to highlight the excellent work being carried out by a team of dedicated volunteers at the Big Fellas Stadium.

Featherstone Rovers played host to the latest Championship meeting at the Big Fellas Stadium. The RFL represented by Nigel Wood, Ralph Rimmer and Blake Solly presented information to all Championship clubs outlining the new structures to be in place in 2015. Featherstone Rovers Chief Executive Craig Poskitt said: "As a club we fully support the new structures put in place and congratulate the RFL Executive on securing a record, long term TV deal with Sky that will bring stability to the sport. All at Featherstone are excited by recent developments and incentivised by the new structures being put in place. We are under no illusions that there is a lot of hard work ahead to get where we want to be.

Well done Fev from a proud sponsor. Having already claimed the scalp of Super League side Wakefield Wildcats, Featherstone Rovers were determined to show they have the quality to consistently compete at the top level and end their pre-season with a 100% record. That they certainly did, with the pack bullying the Hull opposition, Gareth Moore once again proving unplayable, and every team member appearing telepathically connected. Featherstone dominated Hull from start to finish, registering 10 tries to secure an unbelievable 54-6 victory in former Rover Richard Whiting's testimonial game at the Big Fellas stadium.
